Pia Fleckenstein works as an artist on a ship in Hamburg, which she sails around under the project Salon Walter to make exhibitions on the water. In her work, she focuses on paintings on wood, in which she searches for femininity and the dividual. She weaves spaces, figures and objects into flowing patterns and allows their outlines to merge.

There can be something sublime in the formation of hands, which in a certain light resembles the curvature of a branch, or the impression of a weeping gaze. In my work, I look for intersections of these overlays and for the heartbreak of things.
